Adults are human or other animal that has attained complete growth.The biological definition of the term is an animal reaching sexual maturity, and therefore capable of reproducing. The human world of adults refer to the social and legal aspects. As opposed to a "non-adult" or "minor", a legal adult is at the point of majority. They are considered an independent, self-sufficient person and dependable. The term "major" can be used to describe these individuals. The general consensus is that the threshold at which an individual legally matures is 18. However, this can be different based on rights under the law and country as well as the development of the individual's psychological.

Adulthood is the time in human life when a person has reached full maturity both in physical and mental development. Adulthood, as generally understood, begins at the age of around 20 or 21. The age of old is 60 years old after middle years. Young adulthood starts between age of 18 and 30. The middle age stage begins from the mid-30s through to 60s. Late adulthood starts at mid-60s. In the early years of adulthood, our body has reached the fullest physical maturation. Yet, our body's size and weight could rise. In the early years of our lives, we're physically and mentally at the peak. Muscle strength, response time, sensory ability, and cardiac function all reach their peak.
